Wednesday Night programs offer something for everyone. A nursery is provided for children age 3 and under from 6:30-7:30.

B L E S S E D   Y O G A

5:00-6:00 PM in the Reception Room  

No previous experience with yoga is necessary, and participants can be anywhere between ten and a hundred years old, male or female, and any fitness level.

Please bring a yoga mat, wear stretch clothes, be prepared to practice barefoot, and have an empty stomach. Kathryn Woodson Barr is the leader.

Godly Play (age 4-grade 6)  6:30-7:00

Godly Play is an experiential way of teaching. Bible stories are told very simply without interpretation or moral instruction. After a story is presented, the children and the storyteller wonder together about aspects of the story that draw their interest. The children then choose art supplies or other materials available to create or act out their response to the story. This method of spiritual formation invites personal involvement in the story, using a child's natural sense of imagination and wonder.

Jubilation Choir (age 4-grade 6)  7:00-7:30

Choir gives children the opportunity to use their voices in worshiping God. Through rhythm, movement, vocalization and working together as a group, children develop discipline and cooperation. They provide music in worship on the first Sunday of the month October through May and participate in various special services during the year.

Y O U T H

On Wednesday nights the youth meet from 6:30-7:30 in the St. Stephen Youth Room. They play team building games, work on outreach projects, and have fun! Wednesday nights are mostly about bonding together as a group and learning more about each other.

Lectionary Bible Study

Cary Speaker leads a study on the lectionary scripture for the following Sunday. It is a preview to his sermon.

Chancel Choir at 7:30 PM

The Chancel Choir provides music for the 11:00 worship services and special services throughout the year. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:30 in the choir room. Membership is open to any youth or adult. For more information, email Dewin Tibbs, Director of Music.

Frazzled Families in February

Wednesday Nights in February (except Ash Wednesday, February 22)

6:45-7:30 PM in the Reception Room

For families of all shapes and sizes — single parents, multi-generational families, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and teenagers.

Sessions will offer help for frazzled families. Learn family survival skills — better communication, how to disagree without being disagreeable, enabling an atmosphere of love and forgiveness, promoting togetherness and independence, plus other topics about relationships.
