Christian Education is about discipleship. The goal of Christian Education is to nurture and promote the spiritual growth and discipleship of the congregation. For children, faith formation is the cornerstone of Christian Education. As we mature, our response to God's love and grace is our discipleship and is seen in how we live our lives. Listening to a sermon in the worship service is not enough to advance true spiritual growth. Discipleship also needs to be happening on the personal level, one-on-one with fellow believers, in small groups, and in midsize groups. Fellowship and study, mission and ministry within these smaller groups offer a different dynamic to the growth process.
We are not alone on this remarkable journey. Mountain Brook Presbyterian provides education opportunities for all ages. In these smaller groups we learn from each other and receive love and support in becoming faithful people sharing God's love and grace in our community and in the world.
