C O M M U N I T Y  G A R D E N

Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church, located on ten acres in a suburb near Birmingham, Alabama, is sowing seeds of faith, hope - and vegetables. Church members created a community garden last summer that produced over 3,000 pounds of tomatoes, peppers, corn, sweet potatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, peas and green beans. The food was donated to help feed the hungry and homeless. The church plans to make it an annual event, teaching other residents in the area and inspiring more congregations.
